Pictured with Jennifer on the bus is Anna, an exchange high-school student from Missouri who has been in Quito for almost 8 months. We met her at the Centro Comercial El Bosque, a sprawling shopping mall on the edge of the city. We were in a random bookstore looking for a map of Quito when she struck up a conversation with us (must've heard our English). We had parted ways after getting some helpful information about other shopping centers and bus routes in town, but 20 minutes later we ran into her again as we were leaving the mall to wander aimlessly in search of a route to a far-off bus station. What luck, because Anna is an expert at navigating the bus system, and she was headed our way! Needless to say, without her help, we would have been in no-man's land in no time, but she was so gracious to ride the bus with us to help us get to our destination. Thanks, Anna! ¡Hasta la proxima vez!
Hey! Good thing Anna was there to help you. Hey, speaking of meeting strange people, I met your alter-ego, leslie gisselle on Skype tonight. We had an interesting conversation via the google spanish to english translator, but the weirdest thing was...SHE WASNT YOU! So...um...what's up with that? This is Adam by the way.
ReplyDeleteGlad someone was there to help. Someone is using your Skype name. She wanted me to call her on her cell phone.
